Public Park Whistler, Bc July 10th 2011

Well,

I got up to Whistler yet again with my buddy Matt Slabs and his girl friend Jenna for some summer snowboarding. I also meet up with my friend Steph King for rides in the park. If you never been up to the glacier I would highly recommend it to any one that likes to snowboard. Its 3 chair lifts and a bus ride to arrive at the top and your more then likely going to see some bear along the way! You have only 3 full hours to ride but it's worth it. Be at the base at 11 am and your back in society at 4pm.

Cheers

Song / Band - I'm Crying / The Animals

The Animals were an English music group of the 1960s formed in Newcastle upon Tyne during the early part of the decade, and later relocated to London. The Animals were known for their gritty, bluesy sound and frontman Eric Burdon, as exemplified by their number one signature song "The House of the Rising Sun" as well as by hits such as "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", "It's My Life" and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". The band balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles against rhythm and blues-oriented album material. They were known in the U.S. as part of the British Invasion.

The Cheaper Show, Vancouver, BC

I checked out The Cheaper Show over the weekend with some felles. If you dont know about the show here's a brief history of the show and what it's about.

The Cheaper Show was started in 2001 by local artists Graeme Berglund, Steve “Breadman” Cole and Syx Langeman (known then as the collective Fracture Industries) as a new format to promote talented and underexposed artists. The concept was very simple; to have a one night art show with dozens of multi disciplined artists and with over a hundred pieces of art, all for sale at one affordable price. The format caught on immediately and nine years later has grown to become an institution with it being the largest recurring one night art show in the history of this city

Here's some photo's from the night..
Check it out!

Song of the day Sunday 20th June 2011

The Misunderstood - Thunder And Lightning

The Misunderstood were a psychedelic rock band originating from Riverside, California in the mid-1960s. They moved to London in 1966, with the assistance of their manager, John Peel, who would later gain fame as an influential BBC Radio DJ. In UK they recruited Englishman Tony Hill on guitar, thus forming an international rock-music group, preceding Hendrix.
